This unique mineral specimen features the vibrant light blue mineral, chrysocolla, formed in a cool botryoidal texture on the host rock.

Chrysocolla is a secondary mineral, a hydrated copper silicate, that is often found near or with other secondary copper minerals. The host rock here is scoria, or gas-rich basalt, a lightweight black volcanic rock.

It was unearthed by a local miner at the historic Planet Mine in Arizona. Weighing 5.12 grams and measuring approximately 1.25 inches by 1.25 inches, this piece is ideal for collectors, educators, or anyone who appreciates natural geological beauty.

This specimen is completely natural and unaltered, showcasing the rich mineral-bearing character and desert mine charm of the region. Its striking colors and rough texture make it a standout addition to any rock, mineral, or crystal collection.
