Check out this interesting rock specimen of wulfenite and fluorite from the Red Cloud Mine in Arizona!
There are several small bright orange wulfenite crystals spread across the top of the rock. Some of tabular crystals are flawless, but some have chips from the mining process.
The remainder has gorgeous pastel green fluorite that glows under UV light. The UV light used in this photo is 365 nm wavelength (see photos 4 and 5).
This would make a great gift or wonderful addition to your rock cabinet.
Weight: 82.27 grams
Size: approximately 1.5" wide x 1.75" long x 1.5" high
This is a delicate mineral which I would recommend keeping in a display case and handling with care. Wulfeinte has a hardness of 2.5 - 3 on the Mohs scale and the matrix is crumbly by nature.
It is all natural, and was mined by hand. This rock specimen has not been cut, polished, or enhanced in any way.
